Summer officially started a two days ago, and I finally wrapped up all my classes (which is probably why I’ve been extra excited to fully step into summer mode). I’ve been thinking a lot about the kind of summer I want to have this year, not just the activities, but also the energy, the vibe, the mood.
So here’s a little seasonal brain dump: my summer ins & outs, the things i’m romanticizing, and my intentions for the next few months 🌿
🌸 summer ins:
slow mornings
reading outside with iced matcha
beach days + spontaneous little day trips
journaling outside (I will get back into journaling 🤍)
finding local bookstores + coffee shops
spending less time on my phone
solo dates (farmer’s markets, book shopping, long walks)
fresh fruit, smoothies, lighter meals
linen sets, flowy dresses, minimal makeup
creating playlists for every mood
romanticizing the little things
being outside more, even if it’s just reading on the patio
taking photos again (bring back the digital camera era)
being present 🌞
❌ summer outs:
staying inside all day scrolling
skipping skincare
constantly putting things off for “tomorrow”
feeling guilty for resting
doomscrolling tiktok at 3am
overthinking everything
being too self-critical
skipping journaling
saying no to spontaneous plans
comparison online
trying to “perfect” my routine instead of just starting
🌿 summer moodboard energy:
this summer i want softness. cozy mornings, intentional nights. reading seasonal books, rewatching comfort shows, getting outside, creating memories.
i know every summer we say “this will be my best summer” but for me, this year, i just want it to be simple. calm, fun, creative, present. that’s all 🤍
